Dissemination Unit of Water Resources Management and Technology (DUWRMT) held a workshop of River Area Management, River Facilities Operations and Maintanance on  “Capacity Development Project for River Basin Organizations in Practical Water Resources Management and Technology”.

The Workshop was held at Lor In Hotel Solo on Wednesday, 9 December 2009. it was attended by 63 people from all RBO's in Indonesia, JICA's Experts and some other related institutions and also 3 special Javanese Lecturer and Instructor.

The presentation was about :

• “The Problems about Public Administration of River” by Mr. Matsui

• ”River Area Management in Japan” by Mr. Sakai

• "River Facilities Operations and Maintenance  in Japan "by Mr. Zenmoto.

• “The Present Situation and Problems about River Area Management”, by Mr. Slamet Budi Santoso (Ditjen SDA Dep. PU Jakarta) and Representative from Badan Lingkungan Hidup  Surakarta.

• “The Present Situation and Problems about Facilities Operations and Maintenance”, by Mr. Sudarsono (BBWS Bengawan Solo) and Mr. Agus Purwadi (Dinas PSDA Semarang)

• "Hydromechanical Plants Operations and Maintenance" by Mr. Sarwanto (Consultant) and Representative from PJT I
